It's official the Hurricane Chapter of POCI is coming back stronger and better than before with Tom Martin at the helm taking over as President of the club.

Tom is working on gathering emails of club members so that he can keep everyone informed of upcoming club events.

Ed Cozzi is putting together the newsletter, which will have the names and contact information for the club directors.

Johnnie Mack has established a new P.O. Box for the club, a new bank account has been set up and funds have been transferred from the old account.

Tom and Ed have found a location for a club meet. This is a restaurant/bar in Ft. Lauderdale that has just recently been purchased and is being renovated. It'll be a Cruise In/ Date night with flat screen TVs to watch all the greatest car movies like Smokey and the Bandit, Thunder Road, etc. They hope to open for 4th of July, so plan for something in the middle of July. More information to come.

Looking forward, Tom has talked with Ted Vernon who owns South Beach classics. He has three large warehouses filled with classic cars that are for sale including some pontiacs. A production company will be filiming a show there (a promo for a reality show) and he would like us to bring our Pontiacs and be on TV. It will be August, but the date is not finalized yet.
